Project Description:For my final project in imaging this year, I have chosen to do a series of passage illustrations from The Little Prince, a children's book by French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Each of the illustrations is a depiction of the scene I envision every time I read that particular passage. Enjoy! “Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them... No one is ever satisfied where he is... Only the children know what they’re looking for...” “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” “In one of those stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night. And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me. You will always be my friend...I shall not leave you.”

The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde)The studio was filled with the rich odour of roses, and when the light summer wind stirred amidst the trees of the garden, there came through the open door the heavy scent of the lilac, or the more delicate perfume of the pink-flowering thorn.
